Bucks to visit with Dwayne Wade next week

July 2, 2016 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Bucks logo 11The Milwaukee Bucks have come to agreements with a pair of free agents on Friday.  They agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract with Phoenix free agent forward Mirza Teletovic.  The Bucks followed with a four-year, $38 million offer to restricted free agent Matthew Dellavedova, although the Cleveland Cavaliers have the right to match.  They’re not expected to do so.

The Bucks may not be done.  They are scheduled to meet with Miami Heat free agent and former Marquette star Dwayne Wade next week.

Wade is upset with the Heat.  They agreed to a four-year, $98 million deal with center Hassan Whiteside on Friday and are said to be setting their sights on Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant.  Wade, is said to be disappointed that Miami has targeted other players in free agency without addressing his situation.

According to reports, the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls could also be in the mix for Wade if he truly wishes to leave Miami.

Wade has played 13 years in Miami and won three NBA titles.  He was the fifth overall pick in the 2003 draft and is a 12-time NBA all-star.
