Fox Valley Metro police say a 19-year-old man was arrested Monday, after shooting a nine-year-old Kimberly boy with a BB gun while the child was running a lemonade stand.

Officer Michael Lambie says the suspect, 19-year-old Evgeniy Tetzlaff, is believed to have committed several crimes on Monday – including stealing stereo equipment from a car parked at Kimberly High School and also firing a BB gun at pedestrians in a park.

Police were called to a home in Kimberly Monday afternoon, after the boy was shot in the face. The boy was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The description of the suspect’s vehicle matched one given in the earlier incidents and police were able to use surveillance video of the car to track down Tetzlaff, who was then arrested.

Lambie could not give a motive for the shootings, which he says appear to have been at random.
