Two Janesville police officers are facing possible disciplinary action, following their arrests in separate incidents.
Police Chief Dave Moore says the first involves Officer Chad Sullivan, who was arrested on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated about two weeks ago while on assignment at a conference in Flagstaff, Arizona. Sullivan, who was in Flagstaff as part of a mission to recruit minority candidates for the department, was arrested after police stopped them driving their rental car the wrong way down a one way street.
The other case involves probationary officer Thomas Erickson. Moore says Erickson was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct last weekend after being involved in a fight between two angry groups of men.
Internal investigations are underway into both incidents. Once those are complete, Moore says he will review the results and decide on the appropriate discipline.
