The Wisconsin football team missed out on a spot in the Amway Top 25 coaches’ preseason football poll, released on Thursday.

The Badgers do have five teams on their schedule that are in the preseason top 25.

Number six LSU will open the season against the Badgers at Lambeau Field on September 3.  The Badgers will also have games against number-11 Michigan State, number-eight Michigan, number-five Ohio State and number-15 Iowa.

Wisconsin finished 10-3 a year ago in Paul Chryst’s first season as head coach of the Badgers.
