Kelly finishes second at the Travelers Championship

August 8, 2016 By Bill Scott

pga tour logoRussell Knox parred the final hole with a 12-foot putt to beat Madison’s Jerry Kelly by one stroke Sunday to win the PGA Tour’s Travelers Championship.

Knox closed with a 2-under par 68 to finish 14-under par for the tournament.  It’s the second win for Knox on the PGA Tour, following a win in China in November in the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions.

The finish came a couple of hours after Jim Furyk shot the first 58 in PGA Tour  history.  Furyk tied for fifth at 11 under.
