Matching funds sought for flood relief grant

August 8, 2016 By WRN Contributor

Donations are being sought to meet a $25,000 matching grant for Ashland and Bayfield County flood relief. The Duluth-Superior Community Foundation has received the grant from the Otto Bremer Trust of St. Paul in support of the 2016 Natural Disaster Immediate Response Fund.

The foundation’s regional Affiliate Officer in Bayfield, Meghan Dennison, says they are encouraging church, civic and other groups to conduct fundraising drives and individuals to make donations to achieve the needed $25,000 match.

The disaster response fund supports area non profits and government agencies that suffered flood damage in July storms. Donate or get more information at dsacommunityfoundation.com.
