Volleyball Badgers improve to 2-0 in Hawaii

Motion WThe fourth-ranked Wisconsin women’s volleyball team improved to 2-0 on the young season with a sweep (26-24, 26-24, 25-22) over Arizona in the second round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Saturday night in Honolulu.

Junior Lauryn Gillis led UW with 12 kills,  Freshman Molly Haggerty added nine kills.  Junior Kelly Bates led all players with 20 digs.  Senior Lauren Carlini picked up her first double-double of the season with 34 assists and 12 digs.

Wisconsin wraps up tournament play on Sunday at 5 p.m. against Kansas State.
