Former Wisconsin Badger Daniel Woltman shot a 7-under-par 65 on Tuesday and takes a two-shot lead into the final round of the Wisconsin State Open at Blackwolf Run on Wednesday.
The Beaver Dam native is at 10-under par 134 after the first two rounds and up two shots on Menasha’s Ryan Helminen and Kenosha native Jordan Elsen.
Helminen, who recently competed in the PGA Championship, shot a second round 66. Elsen, who also starred at Wisconsin, shot a 65.
Former Wisconsin golf coach Jim Schuman, who won this event twice previously, shot a 70 and is three shots back, tied with former Wisconsin Assistant Golf Professional Association player of the year Jim Steffes.
