Badger volleyball suffers first loss of the season

Motion WThe second-ranked Wisconsin women’s volleyball team dropped its first match of the season, falling at number-11 North Carolina in five sets: 25-24, 25-27, 23-25, 25-20 and 15-11.

The Badgers fell to 5-1 on the year, while North Carolina remains unbeaten at 6-0.

The Badgers dropped their first match of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, falling to 4-1 in the competition.

Wisconsin will wrap up the Challenge on Saturday against Louisville at 3 p.m.
