The U.S. Coast Guard has called off any further searches for a 75-year old man believed drowned off Manitowoc’s Red Arrow beach. Ensign Zachary Hall, public affairs officer for Sector Lake Michigan says search-and-rescue crews from Two Rivers and helicopter crews from Traverse City Michigan spent 13 hours searching a 139 square mile area.
A ten foot sailboat capsized about 500 yards-from shore on Sunday. The identity of man on board has not been released.
