Forbes Magazine is out with its annual rankings of NFL team values and the Green Bay Packers are worth 20% more than a year ago. But the rankings also show the Packers dropping three spots in the NFL.
Every franchise in the NFL added value over the past year. Overall, the NFL teams increased 19% to an average of $2.34 billion. Forbes estimates the Packers’ worth at $2.35 billion which is 13th in the league.
The Dallas Cowboys remain number one with a valuation of $4.2 billion. New England is number two at $3.40 billion. The New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins round out the top five.
Among NFC North teams, the Chicago Bears are 8th ($2.70 billion), Minnesota is 17th ($2.20 billion) and the Detroit Lions are 31st ($1.65 billion).
