Fire investigators are still trying to find out what sparked a series of explosions and a huge fire that destroyed 35 buses at the Dousman Transportation Company’s bus lot in Waukesha County. Two dozen fire departments responded to the scene Sunday afternoon.

Brian Cull is the Merton Fire Chief. “The explostions were pretty scary, and we wanted to keep our people out of harm’s way, so we repositioned our truck after we got there,” Cull said.

The company provides bus service to 11 school districts. Service was not disrupted – Dousman used other buses Monday morning, housed at a different facility.
