More Wisconsin cities receive clown reports

October 6, 2016 By Andrew Beckett

Police in several Wisconsin cities have been fielding reports about clown-related threats.

Schools in Milwaukee, Racine, and Beloit have both faced threats on social media about clowns bringing weapons to school. There have also been reports about clown sightings this week in Sheboygan and Wausau.

Beloit Police Captain Dan Molland says they suspect a “Twisty the Clown” Facebook page – where the threats were posted in the city – was done as a prank. “We think that they’re probably high school kids, getting on the bandwagon.”

The incidents follow a long line of similar threats and sightings reported nationally.
