Kennedy Meeks had 15 points and a career-high 16 rebounds and Joel Berry II poured in 22 points to lead number-four North Carolina to a 71-56 win over the 16th ranked Wisconsin Badgers in the championship game of the Maui Invitational.

The Tar Heels (7-0) held the Badgers to 38-percent shooting.  Wisconsin guard Bronson Koenig was held to just one-for-13 from the field.

Vitto Brown had 15 points and Ethan Happ 13 points to lead the Badgers (4-2).

The Badgers reached the title game by beating Tennessee and Georgetown in the first two rounds.  But Wednesday night, the Badgers missed their first 11 shots.

Wisconsin eventually settled in and climbed back to within four points in the first half.  North Carolina led 29-20 at halftime.

The Badgers return home to host Prairie View A & M on Sunday.  They’ll host 18th ranked Syracuse next Tuesday.
