The 17th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers made quick work of Syracuse and their 2-3 zone defense, knocking off the Orange 77-60 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Tuesday night at the Kohl Center.

Ethan Happ scored 24 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, hitting 10 of 12 from the field.  It was Happy that had 18 points and 15 rebounds in the Badgers 66-58 overtime win over Syracuse in this contest a year ago.

Bronson Koenig entered the game shooting just 27.3% from three-point range but hit six of nine from distance last night and finished with 20 points.

Vitto Brown added 10 points and Nigel Hayes finished with nine points, 11 rebounds and a college career  high 10 assists.

The Badgers hit 11 of the 23 three-pointers (47.8%) and 29 of 59 shots overall (49.2%).

Andrew White III led Syracuse with 14 points but all 14 came in the first half.  Greg Gard switched defenders at halftime, going from Zak Showalter to a much taller Nigel Hayes to guard White.

The Badgers will host Oklahoma on Saturday.
