An investigation has been opened in northeastern Wisconsin, following the disappearance of at least seven dogs in the area.

The animals all went missing over the past five weeks. Deb Lewis, Fox Valley Humane Association Director, says a common thread with the targeted dogs is that they were all larger breeds, weighing between 65 and 75 pounds. The missing animals include three huskies, two Labradors, and two mixed breeds.

Foul play is suspected after many of the owners found their dog’s collar cut off.

Anyone with information about the possible thefts is being urged to contact the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department.
