Suspected drunk driver kills four in Dane County crash

November 3, 2016 By Bob Hague

Four people are dead following a Wednesday night crash on Interstate 94 near Deerfield in Dane County.

The Wisconsin State Patrol received a driving complaint at 10:15 p.m. about an SUV that was driving erratically. As responding units tried to catch up to the vehicle, it turned around in the eastbound lanes of I-94 and began heading against traffic.

The SUV then struck two oncoming cars. The crash killed two Milwaukee women, a man from Waterloo, and man from suburban Chicago. A Whitefish Bay man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, along with the man who caused the crash a 32-year-old from Waunakee.
