The Green Bay Packers are without another defensive back. Demetri Goodson didn’t practice Wednesday and was listed on the injury report with a concussion. Goodson joins Sam Shields, Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins and Josh Hawkins, all who have lost time to injury.
Rollins returned to practice on Wednesday but was limited. He’s already missed three games and there’s no guarantee he’ll be ready to play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
If Goodson and Rollins can’t play, the Packers will be as thin as they’ve been all year. It would leave the Packers with LaDarius Gunter, Micah Hyde and Josh Hawkins.
More injury issues
T.J. Lang and JC Tretter also didn’t practice. Tretter suffered a knee injury in the Atlanta game and is expected to miss this Sunday’s game. The Packers have an open roster spot and will likely activate Corey Linsley off of P.U.P.
Ty Montgomery, Randall Cobb and Clay Matthews all returned to practice. Matthews did the least amount of work in practice after he and Cobb both missed last Sunday’s game with hamstring injuries. Cobb’s absence snapped a 45-game streak of games played by the Packers receiver.
Burks returns
The Packers signed running back Brandon Burks as they continue to search for running back help. Burks is an undrafted free agent who led the Packers in rushing during the exhibition season (31 carries, 120 yds. 1 TD).
