Hornibrook practices Tuesday with the Badgers

November 30, 2016 By Bill Scott

bucky-badger-logoIt would appear that Paul Chryst will have both of his quarterbacks ready to go for Saturday night’s Big Ten Championship game between Wisconsin and Penn State.

Redshirt freshman Alex Hornibrook, who has started all nine Big Ten games for the Badgers this season, suffered an apparent concussion in the regular season finale against Minnesota.  But Hornibrook practiced on Tuesday.

Hornibrook took over for senior Bart Houston, who started the first three games.  Houston is expected to get some time on Saturday as well, after getting several opportunities throughout the course of the season.

Latest CFB Rankings

The Badgers remain at number-six in the latest College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday night.

The Badgers (10-2) will need to knock off number-seven Penn State (10-2) on Saturday night and get number-four Washington and number-three Clemson to lose in their league title games.

Big Ten member Ohio State is second in the latest rankings and Michigan, which lost to Ohio State last week, fell to number-five.

The four-team playoff field is set to be revealed at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
