SSM Health increases minimum wage

November 3, 2016 By WRN Contributor

A major employer in the Janesville and Madison area is implementing a new minimum wage.  SSM Health, which owns Saint Mary’s Janesville Hospital and Dean Clinic, has announced plans to have its lowest pay at $11 an hour.

The wage increase will impact more than 1000 workers in Wisconsin, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Illinois.

SSM Health CEO William Thompson says they are committed to providing strong market-based wages and benefits for all employees, with special consideration for those who are most economically vulnerable.  The wage change goes into effect in January.
