The UW-Milwaukee Panthers knocked off Wisconsin 80-63 on Tuesday night at the Klotsche Center, ending a 17-game losing streak to the Badgers. The Panthers last win against the Badgers prior to last night came on Dec. 15, 1992 in Madison (78-77).
Jenny Lindner scored 28 points, Sierra Ford-Washington had 27 and Steph Kostowicz had 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Panthers (3-1).
Green Bay Phoenix
Green Bay (3-1) used an 11-0 run in the fourth quarter to pull out a 62-53 win over Belmont (2-3) in Nashville on Tuesday night.
Mehryn Kraker scored a game-high 18 points, Allie LeClaire had a season-high 13 points and Jessica Lindstrom collected her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Phoenix held a 48-30 advantage in rebounding.
Marquette Golden Eagles
In Corvallis, Oregon, the Marquette women’s basketball team got 24 points from Natisha Hiedeman and 23 from Allazia Blockton as the Golden Eagles knocked off 15th-ranked Oregon State 74-73.
The Golden Eagles are off to a 4-0 start for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
Marquette grabbed the lead when Amani Wilborn hit a layup with 12.7 seconds left.
