Green Bay Phoenix women honored

December 13, 2016 By Bill Scott

green-bay-phoenix-logo-2The Green Bay Phoenix women’s basketball team has been named the NCAA.com team of the week.

The Phoenix continued to roll in the early season with victories over Marquette and South Dakota State to improve to 8-1 on the season.

Green Bay has already racked up victories over three 2016 NCAA Tournament teams (Belmont, South Dakota State and Chattanooga).  Green Bay’s only loss this season came to then, top-ranked Notre Dame, 71-67 back on November 17.

The Phoenix return to action Thursday night against the Wisconsin Badgers at the Kress Center.
