Multiple heroin arrests in Superior

December 8, 2016 By WRN Contributor

Investigators from the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force and Superior Police executed a search warrant in the City of Superior that resulted in the seizure of about 84 grams of heroin.

Most of the heroin was packaged into 151 individual bags with a street value of around $15,000.

Five people were arrested on drug charges related to the sale and possession of that heroin including a 30-year-old man from Chicago who is in the Douglas County jail awaiting formal charges.

The Task Force has a close relationship with both the Superior and Duluth Police Departments and conduct joint investigations on a daily basis.

That partnership has resulted in a large number of successful arrests and drug seizures in the Twin Ports.
