Two killed in collision near Janesville

December 20, 2016 By WRN Contributor

A fatal traffic collision east of Janesville on Highway 14 claimed the lives of both drivers on Monday.  Rock County Sheriff’s Deputies said the head-on crash happened a little before 3:30 p.m. near North River road.

The investigation revealed a pick-up driven by a 75-year-old woman from Janesville lost control on icy roads and traveled into the oncoming lane, hitting a pick-up driven by a 57-year-old man from Davis, Illinois.  Both drivers were killed.  Highway 14 was re-routed for about five-hours.
