For the first time since 2000, the 3rd seeded Wisconsin women’s volleyball team will host an NCAA volleyball regional.  The Badgers will face Big Ten foe Ohio State at 1 p.m. Friday in the first semifinal (ESPNU).  Stanford and Florida State will face off in the second semifinal at 3:30 p.m. (ESPN3) at the UW-Field House.

Semifinal winners advance to Saturday’s regional final at 5 p.m. on ESPNU, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Championship semifinals on Dec. 15 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

The Badgers are playing in their fourth-straight NCAA Sweet 16, and 14th in program history.  Wisconsin is 7-6 in the regional semifinals, including a 2-0 mark in the UW Field House.

The Badgers advanced to the regional by sweeping Howard and number-25 Washington State in first and second round action, respectively, in the UW Field House.

Tickets for the regional go on sale Tuesday at 8:30 A.M.
