Immigrants mark May Day in Wisconsin

May 1, 2017 By Bob Hague

Immigrants marked May Day in Wisconsin. “A Day Without Immigrants”  took place across the U.S. and Wisconsin, including in Madison, where people rallied on the Capitol steps.

Workers and activists marked May Day with marches and rallies for better pay and working conditions.

In Wisconsin, the biggest event took place in Milwaukee, where the immigrant rights group Voces De La Frontera led thousands rallying at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
