A lone bell rang out at the state Capitol this morning at 10:03…the same time United Flight 93 went down in a field in Pennsylvania. It was a moment for those gathered for a 9-11 remembrance ceremony to reflect on the sacrifices made. Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton says all of us must take inspiration from that day because it ushered in a new era of life in America. Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin recalled how that day has changed many lives. She says the smoke and ashes of that day are etched in the minds of many Americans.
The event coincided with similar memorials across the country, with bells being rung at the same times as all four plane crashes on September 11th, 2001.
