Not only was it a family affair, it was a special occasion. A gas station clerk in the Milwaukee suburb of Greenfield called police Tuesday night around 8 o' clock to report being robbed by a young black male who was armed. Greenfield Police Deputy Inspector Brad Wentlandt says witnesses in the parking lot provided a police dispatcher with a vehicle description. Police responded quickly in tracking and blocking off the car. The young male fled on foot but was soon caught by officers. The suspect turned out to be 17-years-old.
Turns out, the getaway driver was the 37-year-old mother of the suspect. In the car was her 13-month-old daughter and two sons, 10 and 14.
The teen suspect actually lives in Chicago but was in town visiting because it was Tuesday was also his mother's birthday.
The alleged "birthday girl" robber and her accomplice son are also suspected of holding up a gas station in Milwaukee an hour before hand.
