Wisconsin?s affirmative action laws come under scrutiny at the Capitol.
A legislative study committee began a review of Wisconsin?s affirmative action laws Wednesday. State Senator Glenn Grothman, the chairman of the panel, is concerned over what?s happening at the UW, where admission policies that take into account factors other than a student?s academic qualifications are now in place. He's also questioning whether or not affirmative action laws making highway projects more expensive.
The West Bend Republican expects to have recommendations for the Legislature early next year.
