The Wisconsin Association for Justice is applauding jurors for their sacrifice in helping decide trials. WAJ President Mike End says the jurors he’s dealt with have all taken their responsibilities seriously. “My experience is jurors have been very conscientious in trying to do the right thing.”

Some of those who get called to jury duty do what they can to get out of it. End says that personal decision is “a mistake in my view.” He adds jury duty is an extremely important function of achieving justice.

“Whether it’s a corporate executive, or whether it’s the man on the street working in the factory, all of their votes are all the same in the jury room,” says End.

September is Juror Appreciation Month.
