Dane may be the first county in Wisconsin to go smoke-free. The move to make Dane County smoke-free, at least the 34 towns not covered by municipal smoking bans like those in Madison and Fitchburg, was announced Thursday by County Executive Kathleen Falk . The proposed ordinance will b introduced at Thursday's County Board meeting. Falk hopes it can be law later this year or early next year.
