A large gathering at the Capitol Wednesday morning is aimed at sending a strong message against tax increases to lawmakers.
Mark Block, state Director of Americans for Prosperity, says up to 4,000 people from around Wisconsin are expected on the Capitol Square for a "Tea Party" protest on Tax Day.
Block says their main goal is to show opposition to the nearly $2 billion in new fees and taxes included in Governor Doyle's proposed state budget.
The Republican-leaning group is holding similar protests in other cities nationwide.
