A pollster says presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain faces an uphill battle in Wisconsin. A survey from the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute shows McCain narrowing the gap and trailing Barack Obama by only six percent in the Badger State.

However, Institute President Jim Miller says there are some signs in the poll that it's going to be a tough battle for McCain. That's largely based on a finding that nearly 73-percent of Wisconsin residents think the country is headed in the wrong and continued low ratings for President Bush. Miller admits the President is not on the ballot, but he will still have an impact on the race.
