It will be a busy weekend for the daughters of the President of St. Norbert College. Three of the siblings are getting married Saturday in a massive ceremony on the De Pere campus.
Campus spokesman Mike Counter says three of President Tom Kunkel’s daughters all got engaged around the same time, and decided to have their weddings together in the Old Saint Joseph Church on campus. While the sisters are getting married on the same day, each will have their own priest procession, and ring ceremony.
Counter says the family is very close, and the President’s youngest daughter will be the Maid of Honor for all three of her sisters.
The event has drawn some national attention, with the sisters and their fiancés appearing on the CBS Early Show this week.
Counter says it’s unclear whether having three weddings on the same day translated into any cost savings for the family. However, he says Kunkel has admitted his “credit card is on fire” right now.
