State Senate President Alan Lasee says he doesn't believe a poll by St. Norbert College that found only 50% support for the death penalty in Wisconsin. The DePere Republican, the author of next month's advisory referendum on capital punishment, is confident it'll win by a much greater margin when voters go to the polls next month.

Lasee says the poll results are way off the mark, and predicts support for the referendum will be closer to 60% of Wisconsinites in favor of bringing the death penalty to Wisconsin.
