A former high school teacher accused of committing sex crimes against females students in Brown, Manitowoc and Calumet Counties is allowing consolidation of his charges. Ryan Zellner, 32, is facing 28 charges after allegedly committed crimes against students at Kiel, West DePere and Green Bay Southwest high schools since 2003.

Neither side wants to rush proceedings to ensure the consolidation goes properly.

His attorney Jeff Jazgar addressed the court saying his client indicated no objections to consolidating the charges in Manitowoc and Brown counties and that he wants to spare the alleged victims from testifying.

Manitowoc County District Attorney Mark Rohrer says the state needs to make sure that in a “complex case like this” they must get everything right.

A “gag order” has also been enacted. Judge Darryl Deets has ordered all paperwork to be turned in the morning of January 10th. Zellner remains in the Manitowoc County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 dollar cash bail.  The Allouez man returns to court January 12th.
