A man hailing from Wisconsin is said to be one of the ten aid workers killed in Afghanistan over the weekend. 63-year-old Dan Terry was a Janesville native but had spent decades living in Afghanistan according to WKOW TV.

While working for the International Assistance Mission Terry’s group had just finished a two week mission in the northern part of the country, when they were ambushed. The Taliban is taking responsibility saying the group was trying to convert Muslims to Christianity. IAM Mission denies that. Terry is survived by his wife, and three daughters who he raised in Afghanistan.

Six of the aid workers were American.
