As some liquids and gels are allowed back on US airplanes, one Wisconsin airport says it?s been a smooth transition. Federal airline officials are now allowing passengers to bring small amounts of liquid on planes again. They had been banned for over a month after a foiled terrorist bomb plot.

Pat Rowe, a spokeswoman for Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport, says passengers adjusted quickly to the change. It allows passengers to carry-on containers that would fit inside a quart sized plastic bag.

Rowe says airport staff was on hand to make air travelers aware of the change, even though many already knew about it before entering the airport.

Larger bottles still have to be placed inside checked luggage. Passengers can still take larger bottles of liquid on board a plane, if they buy it after going through airport security.
