The first trial for a former UW-Madison student accused of multiple sexual assaults starts later this month in Jefferson County.
His lawyers got the trial moved out of Madison because references from UW officials describing Alec Cook as a “serial rapist” were spread via social media.
Jury selection begins February 26, in a case where Cook’s victim claims what started out as consensual sex turned violent against her will.
