Warm weather is shortening the course for this weekend's American Birkebeiner cross country ski race in the Northern part of the state.
It's the 34th annual event which runs from Cable to Hayward. Around 7,000 skiers are expected to participate in the event.
The good news is snow is in the forecast. Currently, officials are having snow shoveled onto the course.
