Almost five weeks after former Racine Mayor Gary Becker's arrest on child pornography and internet sex allegations, and his subsequent resignation, another shake up at City Hall with the resignation of City Administrator Ben Hughes.

In a short letter to Mayor Tom Friedel, Hughes simply says his resignation was effective Monday. He thanked the Mayor, the City Council, city employees and the residents of Racine for their support during his tenure.

City Attorney Rob Weber says it was Hughes' decision, and he's not leaving with a big severance package.

Hughes has been named in two discrimination complaints against the city. Weber says they will continue to fight claims, and he belives Hughes did nothing wrong.

He will not be replaced for the time being.
