An Antigo elementary school principal is among three people charged in Langlade County with running a marijuana manufacturing and distribution operation. Those arrested include 57-year-old John Lund, an elementary principal with the Unified School District of Antigo, along with 56-year-old Bradley Maahs of Wittenberg and 55-year-old Scot Peterson of Antigo.

Combined, the three of them face a total of 37 charges ranging from manufacturing marijuana with the intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

According to the criminal complaint in the Lund case, authorities searched both Peterson’s and Maahs’ residence late last year and found evidence of marijuana manufacturing, distribution and paraphernalia. Peterson told authorities that he would buy marijuana and sell it to others, naming several people.

When interviewed in late November, Lund said that he did receive marijuana from both Maahs and Peterson several times and also sold some to Peterson for him to distribute to others. Lund has been on administrative leave with pay from the district since his interview with authorities.

In a statement, the district had no comment on the charges and said it will review the administrative leave status next week.

All three will be in court on Monday for initial appearances.
