In these times of sub-prime loans, roller coaster markets and increasing debt, how much do you know about navigating financial waters??

Secretary of Financial Institutions, Lorrie Keating Heinemann, says there are so many products and services being sold to people in the state that are designed to drive up their debt.

That's why Heinemann wants you to know about Money Smart Week. It's a series of six hundred and fifty free seminars and workshops held around the state to make sure you have all the information you need to make wise choices when it comes to meeting your financial goals such as planning for retirement, college or buying a home.

Seminar topics include how to buy a used car, scams and schemes or the adult guide to credit card buying.

Money Smart Week Wisconsin runs through Saturday, October 13th. Find a schedule of events by going to: www.moneysmartwi.org
