Madison police have made an arrest in a high profile homicide. According to a press release from the Madison Police Department, they have arrested a Minnesota man and are awaiting extradition paperwork to be completed. The suspect has not been formally charged in this case. Joel Marino was attacked in his home near downtown Madison on January 28, 2008. He died after calling 911. "I know this has been a real concern in the community and although there is a suspect in custody, there is a lot of hard work to still be completed by the Madison Police Department," stated Chief Noble Wray. "This remains an open investigation and detectives have more work to do to complete this case, including forensic analysis and more follow up." A press conference is scheduled for Friday.
