There were some tense moments Monday morning at Green Bay East High School, as police respond to a report of a gun. Police Lieutenant Chad Ramos said officers arrested two people and recovered a pellet gun, following the report at 9:00 a.m.

“I thought right away of an active shooter,” said Tina Mattern, who watched the incident unfold from her home across the street. “Even thought it’s summer school, there’s still lots of kids in that school. If it can happen anywhere, it can happen here, too.”

Neo Francis was one of about 200 kids inside the building at the time, and was scared. “We started with a level one lockdown, and about 10 minutes after they said to barricade our door.” The afternoon summer school session was cancelled, and those classes will resume Tuesday.
