The Atlanta Hawks threw a wrench in the Milwaukee Bucks plans at point guard over the weekend.

Milwaukee signed restricted free agent Jeff Teague to a 4-year, $32-million offer sheet late last week.  Since Teague was a restricted free agent, the Hawks then had 72-hours to match the offer.  Saturday they did just that.

Teague averaged over 14-points and 7-assists a game last season for the Hawks playing under then Atlanta and current Milwaukee head coach Larry Drew.  The move also signified the Bucks intentions to move past Brandon Jennings, who is a restricted free agent of their own.

It’s hard to say what Milwaukee will do now.  Jennings is still on the market but it is safe to assume that his relationship with the Bucks is tarnished with the attempt to get Teague.  Jennings is a restricted free agent, so the Bucks will have the option to match any offer he would receive.  So far this off-season, Milwaukee has added a trio of guards in Luke Ridnour, O.J Mayo, and Carlos Delfino.
