A Janesville man is back in custody, thanks in part to a father of an attempted abduction victim.  Janesville Detective Mike Duerr says 40-year-old Leonard Matson did not report for parole after leaving the Rock Valley Corrections Friday to look for a job.

Matson had been serving time stemming from an incident in 2000. A man was returning home and saw Matson dragging his daughter. Matson was unsuccessful in the kidnapping and police tracked him to his home. There officers found property originating from the victim’s home.

When Matson violated parole the father notified police who pursued the matter. Police contacted Matson’s family and the convict turned himself after being taken to the parole office by his sister.
