Pictures of a suspect in the brutal beating of a Kenosha man last Friday have been released and police hope that will lead to someone coming forward with information.41-year-old Jose Garcia was beaten and robbed after his car went off a highway in Pleasant Prairie. Police say he accepted an offer of help from a man who wanted gas money in return, but who left him near death along the side of the road. After another man came forward saying he had helped a man who needed gas, pictures of the suspect taken from surveillance video at a nearby gas station were released.

Police Chief Brian Wagner says some tips have come in but not as many as he had hoped. However, Wagner believes the images of the suspect being circulated will be the key to bringing him into custody.

Garcia remains in critical but stable condition at Freodtert Hospital in Wauwatosa with a severe brain injury, but doctors said Wednesday his condition is improving.
