Another try by state lawmakers to make sure all Badgers' games are on TV.
The latest effort comes from a group of lawmakers who want Badger games to be aired live on Wisconsin Public Television. The games were shown on delay, before the creation of the Big Ten Network.
State Representative Dave Travis (D-Westport) is one of the lawmakers behind the effort. He's asking the Educational Communications Board to investigate if it's possible to air the games on WPT. The Westport Democrat says fans are upset they're no longer able to see many of the football games on TV because of a dispute between cable providers and the network now airing the games.
Travis says taxpayer money helped build up the UW athletic program, so they shouldn't be denied access because of pure greed.
