For the 4th time in the last 6-years, the Wisconsin Badgers take home the National Championship for Women’s Hockey.  Sunday, the Badgers defeated Boston University 4-1 in the Finals of the Frozen Four from Erie, Pennsylvania.

Carolyne Prevost netted a pair of goals to lead the Badgers to victory.  Senior Meghan Duggan and Junior Hilary Knight shared the Frozen Four MVP Honors.  Wisconsin Head Coach Mark Johnson calls it quite a season:

It was quite a season for Duggan also.  Saturday she was named the Patty Kazmaier Award winner as the Nation’s top player. 

The team is being honored tonight at the Kohl Center with a welcome home celebration inside the Nicolas-Johnson Pavillion.  The event is free to the public and begins at 6:00 PM.
